The FBU has announced new dates for further strike action set to affect services on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2014. Ministers state  “the FBU (Fire Brigades Union) has one of the most generous pension schemes in all the public sector” however the Union who have already held a series of strikes are still objecting to changes to retirement ages and pensions.

A resolution to the dispute does not appear to be imminent.
